American Tunis Sheep Signed Print

Sale price Price $14.00 Regular price

The Tunis is a breed of sheep that is both a witness and survivor of monumental American history.  During the Civil War, when the Yankees were slaughtering southern livestock needlessly, a lone man concealed a flock on his land, saving the breed from extinction. While our country was caught in a maelstrom of violent turmoil, this gentle sheep was preserved amidst the musket smoke and the sound of cannon fire.  The Tunis is an illustration of survival.

The original artwork was needle-felted out of wool, alpaca, and llama fiber sourced from American farms.  This limited edition print measures 8.5x11” and is printed on sturdy 80lb matte paper.  It is packaged with heavy duty chipboard for durability which can be used in framing if desired and is sealed in a protective closure bag.  Ships via UPS and arrives in a rigid mailer for added protection.  Prints are signed by the artist and numbered.
